Information and Specifications
The Alesis is a multi track MIDI sequencer that can record information received at its MIDI INPUT jack. It will not record poly pressure and note off velocity though. 8 tracks can be played back simultaneously and each track is called a part. There are 100 parts in the MMT-8’s memory (00-99) and these parts can be anywhere from 1 to 682 beats long. The parts are then combined into lists of parts that are called “songs”. There can be up to 100 songs in the MMT-8’s memory and each song can contain a list of parts up to 255 steps long. The many features used in editing tracks include: transposing notes, timing correction, copy and erase. MIDI channels can be reassigned, controllers modified, etc.
