Korg MS-20 Mini

WINTER NAMM, ANAHEIM, CALIFORNIA, January 24th, 2013

Korg announces a mini version of the Korg MS-20, an instrument that is still treasured today after being introduced 35 years ago.

This is a analog monophonic synthesizer, designed by the original engineers of the MS-20, offering two oscillators with ring modulation, and envelope generators with delay and hold and the distinctive high-pass and low-pass filters with peak and resonance.

The new MS-20 mini is 86% of the size of the original and the patch cables have been shrunk from 1/4″ phone plugs to mini-phone plugs. The keyboard itself is also 86% the size of the original. The new Mini has a MIDI IN jack for receiving note messages and a USB connector for sending and receiving sysex messages. It can be used as a sequencer when connected to a computer.
