Review
monotone delay is obviously inspired by the Korg Monotron Delay it isn’t funny. Well it is and it’s just as much fun. If Korg did a iOS version of their product it would be similar if not identical to this. The developer got there first and that’s great news for all. The features are pretty much the sames as the Korg but the price is a fraction of what you’d get with the real hardware.

What you get is a sawtooth oscillator, five knobs to control the rate and intensity of the LFO, a filter cutoff and time and feedback for the delay. You have choice of either a triangle or square for the LFO waveform. That’s it; just like the Korg unit.

Is it any good? The selling point is the delay and it works great. Crank it right up and you can get some nasty tones. While it is simple it has a neat interface. Using it on an iPad it is larger than the Korg Monotron and easier to use. As it’s still an emulation of analog circuits the sound is respectable and more than capable of holding its own. The price is right. Version 1.1 adds Audiobus support. Get it now.
